Spirit Wars

September has arrived. The winter winds of Armageddon have begun to blow. Approximately one half million Israelis marched through the streets on what was coined by the Liberal Left "a wonderful peaceful demonstration of social values.? It was the largest demonstration in Israel?s history.

The same thing was said about the Tunisian, Egyptian, Syrian, and Libyan marches that had been named the "Arab spring.? Those events had been called a counterculture revolution. I had described this in The Final Move Beyond Iraq, my #1 New York Times bestseller in 2007:

An Islamic revolution is spreading. It is on the brink of becoming America?s greatest threat since the Civil War.

A different type revolution took place in America during the 1960s. The U.S. government, dead in its tracks in its ability to wage war in Vietnam, groomed the nation. It, too, was a counterculture upheaval described on the cover of Time magazine as the "God is dead? movement. The uprising taking place today throughout the Middle East, including Israel, is a revolt in cultural values based upon entitlement and birthed from a secular humanism mindset.

Counterculture revolution is swirling like a tornadic wind in the cradle of civilization?a spirit war that embraces the perpetrator and castigates the victim. It is being fueled, fed, and financed by the God-hating Liberal Left that believes evil really doesn?t exist. People are basically good and individuals can?t really be held accountable for the wrong they do.

Disguised by the cloak of human rights, the Arab spring conundrum refuses to accept the biblical position because it is being driven by moral relativists who reject absolute standards of good and evil?of right and wrong. In their world view, Man is capable of perfection; human nature is on a path toward enlightenment; the concept of original sin is primitive. Evil is coddled and is not confronted.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn described this dalliance with evil at Harvard in 1978 when he delivered his speech, "A World Split Apart.? Moral values have been undermined. Those who have lost the courage to confront evil characterize the conflict as a physical and spiritual war. The globe is experiencing what Jesus described in His end-time predictions as "the earth groaning.?

Winter is almost upon us. It will emerge in a September in which for the first time in American history two terrorist organizations, the Palestine Liberation Organization and HAMAS have joined forces and enjoy the support of the vast majority of the world. There is a component no one is openly discussing: Syrian WMDs. Israeli and American intelligence agencies believe that Syria?s large cache of various chemical weapons and long-range missiles are being smuggled to Hezbollah and HAMAS. This would create an existential dilemma that Israel has never before faced.

On September 22 a vote will be taken in the UN General Assembly for a unilateral declaration of statehood for the PLO based on the 1967 lines of demarcation. This means the Western Wall would fall into a UN- recognized terrorist state.

Of this one thing you can be certain: Liberal Left God-haters responsible for driving the Arab Spring will pour a fortune into the legitimization of this newly-formed Palestinian state. Israel will be isolated and demonized in an attempt to break through the blockades that will turn into another war between the PLO and Israel. Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon will join with other oil-rich Jew-hating Arab states to encourage more bloodshed.

Despite the fact that Israel has submarines, the most sophisticated air force in the region, and nuclear capability, it has never found the weapon to defeat spirit wars. The world will sit by in silence as anti-Semitic regimes in countries worldwide unite in a racist hate-fest called Durban III. Israel will again be labeled an apartheid state and Zionism will be declared to be racism.

The events of 9/11/01 took place just seventy-two hours after Durban I. The Bible declares:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

You can be certain of one thing: all roads to the Arab Spring lead to Jerusalem. The word tawreet is translated "embroil.? There is no doubt that this embroiling will not only continue, but will accelerate.

When Ronald Reagan was president he took me into the oval office where I noticed a small sign on his desk. It read: "A man can become too big in his own eyes to be used by God, but never too small.? On a side table lay his mother?s Bible open to II Chronicles 7:14:

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

In the margin next to the scripture Mrs. Reagan had written, "Son, this scripture is for the healing of the nations.? Ronald Reagan had placed his hand on that scripture when he was sworn into office the first time. As he did, America?s humiliation ended after 444 days of hell for the fifty-two hostages that had been held in Iran.

At President Reagan?s second inauguration, he placed his hand on that same scripture and during that term in office Communism fell without a shot having been fired. May God-fearing people around the world seek the wisdom of that same scripture?knowing that God is the only One who can change a season of war into a season of peace.
